interlude: between the sheets

there is nothing
but the sound of your voice
the scent of your skin
the warmth of your body
calling me home

i ball up like a cat
and pull up the sheets
wishing i could hold
those seconds in my hand

that's the thing about borrowing time*
you never know when you need to give it back

  1. Giving back borrowed time. That's supposed to be a good thing, right?

  2. All of our time is borrowed. At least memories are ours to keep until they fade.

  3. @victor ~ i guess if you're concerned about balance and stuff, it is. for me though, the problem lies in two points: (1) i found myself late for work wishing i could stretch time and (2) because it was never mine (borrowed), it felt bad when i no longer had it.

@rudeboy ~ that's true. i just wish it wouldn't fade so damn quickly.

  4. You will just realized everything was wrong, that is they're gone. and the worst thing possibly, when you learned to love it. If it is human being, it sucks to think she's gone, and knowing that she will never go back would be terrifying. so with this, we must be awake. Love is all that matters after all/..

  5. you have a lot of good points. the person's not really gone. buti nalang. haha

you ever get the feeling like you just want so many things right now and you can't do anything to get them? that's what this post is about.

  8. i guess since we're living in borrowed time, we'll just make the most out of it. enjoy every moment because eventually, things have to end.

  10. @engel ~ that's true because if we don't, we'll be stuck in the feeling of holding on to time.

  12. 'good' or 'bad' and everything in between are just labels we attach to our experiences. for all they worth, we should be glad for the past and all the memories they brought us, if only to learn a lesson or two.

imagine if we have everything that we wanted already laid us for our taking. it would be a boring life i guess. :)

no use crying over spilled milk. :) some things just aren't meant for us.
